Community Resources During COVID-19 Updated 3/31/20

 

  1.  Clatsop Community Action - (Great first place to start!) Clatsop Community Action | Astoria, Oregon nonprofit specializing in food, housing, and energy assistance, by offering information & referral services to individuals and families in need.

  1. Helping Hands -  Transitional Housing/ homelessness - Helping Hands Re-entry Outreach Centers.  

 

  1. Portland Area Resources This includes state-wide resources, as well.

 

  1.  Clatsop Community Action Regional Food Bank Located at 2010 SE Chokeberry Ave., Warrenton (near the animal shelter).  Families can access this weekly (most food pantries are monthly)

 

  1. Clatsop County Food Pantries - Families can access each of these monthly.  

 

  1. Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon   - You can now use EBT to order food through Walmart and Amazon for home delivery.  

 

  1. SNAP Food Stamp Benefits  - If a family is out of work, they may change their income status or apply for food stamps online.  This link includes the online application.

 

  1. Oregon Education Association (3/17/2020 - Due to COVID-19, the Foundation is temporarily allowing grant requests for food, rent, and utilities. We are supported 100% by donations, and will offer this additional support as long as our donations allow.) Families will need to request funds through a Seaside District Family Liaison member.

 

  1. Relief Types Offered During COVID-19- Rent, credit cards, auto loans: Here's who is offering relief.

 

  1. Harbor House The HARBOR in Astoria is still open. The Harbor wants to reassure survivors of domestic violence in Clatsop County that we are going to continue to be here for them. Our 24/7 Crisis Line at (503) 325-5735 (en español 1-855-938-0584) is still staffed by trained advocates. Not only is it staffed, we're encouraging survivors to call with any questions or needs that they might have! We can do a lot over the phone, even walk people through restraining orders. For the time being, however, the Advocacy Center is closed to walk in clients and open by appointment only."

 

  1. 211.org - Community Resource List, including food, utilities, and childcare.




  1.  Crisis Hotline Numbers - Suicide prevention, depression, transgender & LGBTQ support.  Hotline includes both phone calls and texting.
